Sixth Form Theatre Trip - 'Hamlet' at The Lowry @ The Lowry

The English Department are giving P16 students a fantastic opportunity to see the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) perform their landmark production of Hamlet at The Lowry in Salford. The performance, taking place on 26th January, marks the opening of the RSC’s 2018 national tour.

Directed by Simon Godwin, the production will see RSC Associate Artist Paapa Essiedu reprise his award-winning performance in the title role as one of Shakespeare’s most famous tragic heroes. Further casting to be announced. More information regarding the production itself can be found at

Students will leave Ossett Academy, travelling by the school mini bus at approximately 5pm on Friday 26 January 2018 and return at approximately 11pm on the same day.

This will be an excellent opportunity for students to see Hamlet in performance and enhance their understanding of the play. Places on the trip will be allocated when students return all relevant paperwork and deposit of £32. The deadline for this is Friday 8th December.
