Welcome To The Ossett Academy Website
Message From the Principal

Thank-you for accessing Ossett Academy's website. Ossett Academy and 6th Form College is part of Education Ossett Community Trust. We hope you find that this website is very useful and informative. Our school prides itself on high standards, it prides itself on getting as many students as possible involved in a range of activities and moreover we are very keen to have an Academy which cares for the individual. In addition to looking at this website, please take every opportunity you can to come to look at open evenings, various open days and extra-curricular show cases that we have and you would of course be extremely welcome.
Mr M Shevill, Principal, Ossett Academy.
Exam Certificates - 2011
We still have a number of GCSE and A Level Exam certificates from summer 2011 which need to be collected.
Exams staff will be available in the Academy between 9:30am and 3:30pm on Monday 2nd April, Tuesday 3rd April, Thursday 12th April and Friday 13th April 2012. Certificates can be collected from the Data and Exams Office (next to PE1 and IT8) during these times.
If you wish to collect your certificates on an alternative date you must contact the Exams Department at the Academy before visiting the site to agree a mutually convenient time.
All candidates who have certificates to collect will be sent a postcard reminder to their home address. Proof of ID will be required to collect certificates and they will need to be signed for. If you cannot collect in person, you can authorise someone else to collect them on your behalf but they must have a letter from you giving us permission to release them to your representative. Alternatively, we can post them to your home address but require you to send 2.50 to cover the cost of Recorded Delivery. Cheques should be made payable to Ossett Academy with your name and current address detailed on the reverse.
Kolorcraft Christmas Card Competition Winners...
Thank you to all that entered this year's competition! Kolorcraft were very impressed by all the entries which made the decision very hard for them. 1st prize of an iPad2 went to Danny Mitchell in Year 10, B-Cne, whose wire sculpture of a reindeer was chosen for their Christmas Card.
Well done also to Hannah Kilner, 11-Lcu, who was awarded an iPod Touch for her painting of a robin, and Brittany Andrews in 7 H-Kbo who was awarded an iPod nano for her 'Penguin in the Snow' collage.

The team will be available on the official Leeds Trinity Facebook page (www.facebook.com/LeedsTrinity) all next week.
